75.4% of the population was born in Curaçao, a decrease of 0.4 percentage points since 2011. The share of individuals born in one of the other former Netherlands Antilles and Aruba has decreased by 0.9 percentage points to 2.0 percent.
There is no significant change among those born in the Netherlands, who make up 5.8 percent of the population in 2023 (down from 6% in 2011). A significant increase is observed among individuals born in Venezuela, rising from 1.2 percent in 2011 to 2.7 percent in 2023. The share of individuals born in Colombia has also increased.
